Salaams to all my readers... I blog because it helps me deal with my life. The good and the bad. This is very personal, and sad but I need to get it out.
My grand mother has been battling cancer for a little over a year now and after her mastectomy we thought she would me ok, that it would not spread anymore. we have recently found out that my Grandmothers cancer has spread to her lungs, liver, and stomach. My grandmother was like a mother to me growing up, she was there when my parents were fighting and taking care of their own selfish needs instead of their children. Grandmother has never missed a birthday or graduation without calling me or sending a little money to let me know she cared. I am going to loose her and I do not know how much time I will have with her, she is the backbone of my family and the reason I made it through those oh so tough times. I have never lost anyone close to me before and I am so very sad an confused. My grandmother is not a Muslim but she is a good woman with a heart of gold. I ask that you all make a Du'ah for her and for myself as well.

Salaam sis
Your post made me wish I knew my grandma as much as you know yours. I can relate to what you're going through, the fear of losing the one person you truly love in this world but pray for her and pray to be reunited in the akhirah - inshaAllah, Allah will reward you for it. Your grandma looks so sweet, I pray she pulls through but like Ayah said, we all inevitabley have to leave this world at some point. All the best.
As salaamu 'alaikum Sis,
InshaALLAH we are making du'a for you over here. May ALLAH make things easy for you (AMEEN)
INshallah i hope your grandmother gets better. Try to mentally prepare yourself as much as you can encase things don't go well. i hope things take a turn for the best, ameen.

She looks like the sweetest and most delicate flower! I just love her and May Allah be with her during this difficult time.
I think that it is much better that you don't know how much time she has habibty. For now, just spend everyday with her like it's her last.
This is what you also would want in your last days, and it will be your greatest gift to her. I love you for the sake of Allah and pray so much that somehow maybe the doctors were wrong.
When death comes dearest sister, it comes very easily. And when she is at peace and you look at her eyes for the last, you will also feel a sense of peace. My Granddaddy died on Dec 21, 2008 and the memory of being with him 2 hours after he died is very fresh.
Death is indeed Allah's 2nd greatest gift to us after life. Love you dearly.
