Almost over

Ramadan is almost over and I am kinda sad. I just feel like I could have done better, prayed more, gave more, made more of these precious day. Work got in the way and stress and relationships, life in general. There is still time though...

There's definitely still time! And you can still continue to try and be better after Ramadan is over :)

There's totally still time! :D
I'll miss it too, those iftar feasts.

But i'll be happy to not feel hungry anymore.

i feel ya mango!! i def could have done much better. sometimes i think what it was like during the time of the prophet and the years following his death while his memory was still fresh. ramadan must have been so wonderful and uplifting.....why is it so hard for us to find that spirituality today? you know what mango, the other day at work i forgot it was ramadan..I FORGOT IT WAS RAMADAN and ate lunch. i was txting another muslim and i said oh i just picked up a baked potato with chives and butter for lunch yumm. to which they replied, oh thats nice but iftars not for 7 more hours...i was MORTIFIED. i know if you forget its forgiven and you can continue your fast but i was just stupified that i actually forgot ramadan. i was so sad, but the truth is we just dont have lovely reminders around us constantly as they do in muslim majority countries. when i worked at the larger hospital, there were more ppl fasting but where i work now? i am IT. no one but me. not making excuses but it would be nice if we did have things around us that just glorify our great times of the year the way christmas does....you know, even if youre not a christian you KNOW its christmas because there are music and decorations everywhere you turn.

inshallah one day!!

so dont feel sad. im in the same boat.

maybe by next year we can all support each other ahead of time before ramadan arrives.

Salams Mango-- sister I feel ya on this one. Every year I go into it with all the great expectations and grand goals and it all just kine of fizzles away. It can be difficult and for me always exhausting. lets, inshallha, take advantage of these last 10 nights.
