D.I.Y. Hijab Pins

D.I.Y. Hijab pins

Hate paying shipping prices for something that costs less then $3 ? Me too! So… I am making my own hijab pins! And you can to, here is how:

What you will need:

  1. A glue gun (or any super strong glue)
  2. Straight pins
  3. Cute fashion gems
  4. Pliers or those fancy jewelry pliers

Step 1: bend tops of the pins if they need it in order for the gen to fit.

Step 2: place a small amount of glue on the back of the gem.

Step 3: quickly place pin on the glue and hold firmly.

    That's it! Enjoy!

I want to swim

My new apartment has 2 swimming pools and I want to swim. Nothing wrong with swimming, only thing is I am having so much trouble finding a hijab friendly suit that is not bulky and uncomfortable, tight and reveling, or way out of my price range. I am kinda thinking of making my own but I just don't know where to start.

any ideas??

Peasent Skirts

Salaam to all!!

I was at Cato's fashion today and they had these peasant skirts in all colors... I did not purchase one... I could not make up my mind about them.

Peasant Skirts...love them or hate them?

I think they are cute but in a way the white ones look a little like tissue paper!

what do you think?

I Have an Interview!!!

I have an interview tomorrow at the local Islamic private school. YAY!!!!

Professional clothing is often hard to find for the muslimah but I found this Awesome white suit from http://www.metrostyle.com/ and will pair it with a rose colored blouse underneath and a floral hijab... it is nice and really put together. To make sure the skirt was long enough I ordered a size tall.

Sleeve issue- Product review

Yesterday was my little sisters high school graduation and I wanted something nice and simple to wear. I remember that I had like 10 Shalwar Kameez sets in my closet. Problem is... they are all 3/4 sleeved. a few weeks ago I ordered 3 pairs of sleeves from

I liked these but they were a little warm for me. Overall I think they are decent quality and worth the price of 4.99 each.
I was happy not to have to wear a whole shirt underneath my shalwar.
